Primary Summer Camp Descriptions

 6/15 - 6/19        Trash to Art

Let’s fight waste with mindful, artistic creations! Found object art all week long. We will

create original artwork while discussing the importance of not being wasteful.

6/22-26      Lego Builder

It is a hit every summer! Come enjoy a week full of Lego centered activities. Everything

from science-driven building challenges to experimental art techniques, your little one

will have great fun creating while making new friends.

6/29-7/3      A Bluey Summer

Enjoy all things related to the most loved Australian Cattle dog, Bluey! During the week

together, children will learn about Australia, how to draw their beloved characters from

the show, learn about herding dog breeds while playing energetic games, and for the

final day, a Bluey themed dance party!

7/13-7/17      Little Foodies

Children will visit the farmers market, make baked goods, and fresh squeezed

lemonade. The shopping and cooking activities are more than just for fun. Children will

finish their week selling their delicious creations at the end of the day Friday at their very

own lemonade/bake stand. Yum! All money raised will go toward the Beginnings Spout

scholarship program.

7/20-7/24      Cooperative Games and Challenges

This week will include cooperative board games, obstacle courses, collaborative art,

building challenges, and scavenger hunts!

7/27-7/31      Water Works

No pool? No problem! This week will include a variety of water games and activities. We

will conduct science experiments, water themed games, and of course, lots of water

play!

6/15 - 6/19        Games Galore

Board games! Outdoor games! Gameshows! If you love playing games, this summer camp is for you. Using strategy, competitive spirit, and even pure luck campers will try to best their opponent in a variety of games. Make sure you come for the competition but stay for the fun.

6/22-26      Lunar Mission

This week will make you over the moon excited to come to camp! We will learn how to observe our moon like an astronaut, DIY our own impact craters (and name them!), build a crew module, and even launch a rocket.

6/29-7/3      America 250

Our nation is celebrating its 250th anniversary this year! We are going to celebrate by learning all about our three branches of government, the documents that built the foundation of our nation, having our own election, and examining some of the people who helped create and strengthen our democracy.

7/13-7/17       Let's Make Art

Each day we will learn about a different famous artist and use their work as inspiration to create our own masterpieces. Join us as we explore different genres and media while we journey through art history.

7/20-7/24     Maryland Adventure

From the mountains to the ocean, we are going to investigate what makes Maryland so important to history, geography, and culture. Join us as we learn why National Geographic called Maryland “America in Miniature.”

7/27-7/31      Storybook Quest

Enter a world of legends and lore! Campers will read myths and fantasy tales featuring dragons, heroes, and magical creatures from around the world. This week encourages rich language use, imaginative thinking, and storytelling as campers explore and even craft their own mythical adventures.
