Beginnings Montessori operates under the direction of the Allegany Association for Childhood Education, Inc., a non-profit organization established in 1978. Licensed by the Maryland State Board of Education and the Office of Child Care, it is recognized as a member school of the American Montessori Society. This non-profit private school offers a welcoming environment for children of diverse backgrounds and focuses on a child-centered approach directed by trained educators. Additionally, it is governed by an elected Board of Directors and serves as a licensed provider of before and aftercare childcare services.
